You don't have to use the microphones built into your cameras or phone. You can get yourself an external setup, wired or wireless (which would also allow you to have consistent audio quality no matter what camera you're using).

This game is playing faster than the ones I played back in the 80s Everything is moving faster I remember it took a while to count at the end, and I played it a lot and know the timing and sounds and this is faster Is it the clock timing or the CPU ? They must have made different newer boards that are faster like this than the original ones.

That is a strange length of audio for a cassette tape. There were 30,60,90,120 minutes and I think they made a 15 or 10 for the old answering machines with the full size cassette tapes, but I wonder if they bought a lot of tapes that were from a company that made answering machines, maybe they had a lot of them left over and got a deal on them In the early days I can imagine a phone company that made answering machines and they had custom length tapes made for them by another company that made blank tapes and maybe they messed up the length of the tape for a batch and they were not 10 minutes and they sold them to the phone company and they didn't notice, or maybe they did and they were stuck with all these 8 minute 14 second tapes. And people talking after work someone saying I need to find cheap tapes that are about 10 minutes long, and another guy saying I work at custom audio and we made a bad batch of 10 minute tapes and they are only 8 minutes, would you like to buy these ? All these great stories, I wish someone would do a movie about the video game industry in the 70s and early 80s and have all these stories, the behind the scenes hiw these games came to be. I saw a show where the guy that invented Donkey Kong, he said he didn't make a mistake in the name. The story that was told by people here was that it was supposed to be Monkey Kong but the guy in Japan messed up the translation But the guy who made the game said No, I meant it to be Donkey Kong because Donkeys are stuburn and the game was Stuburn Monkey AKA Donkey Kong So much urban legend and the real stories would be a great movie for a lot of people who remember when these games came out.

I have a Surf Camp another sibling to this game. I was hoping to get some repair tips.

They really were smart back then. They could have had the game with just the 2 sounds and no tape deck. I imagine they designed the game and it had no tape deck. And the crash they could have had a small sound like the cheddar and whoop, and someone else said " wouldn't it be cool if we had actual audio, full audio, that we had police transmission like a police radio and what if we put a tape deck in the machine and had it play with a relay and then someone else said Hey, we have 2 channels left and right and we can record 2 different audio tracks on one tape and 2 relays for the police chatter and the other we can do a car crash sound. It must have been a great time to be in these companies in those days. Small companies and people meeting up at work and coming up with these ideas.

I remember the Bicentennial celebration in Houston, TX to this very day.

I dreamed last night about the MP3 player in this game and the audio clips and how they used 2 channels for the game and I just saw this on my RUclips list just now. You know you are a geek when you dream about technical stuff

Thanks for posting! I was having the A-side/B-side issue on a 488. I had assumed that it was a solenoid that shifts those pins for the cam follower on the arm, but that 'dog' mechanism is pretty darn clever.

Joe the high scores are different. The 1st one you played had 4666000 and the 2nd one had 5000000.

My favorite game in the arcades. Played this for hours it seemed and they consumed so many quarters that we thought we would go broke. I had one of these at my house years later in the'90's. I paid $300 for it and got my money's worth for a couple of years. I introduced my kids to it but they actually preferred the Nintendo Game Boy and other hand held games by then as these were getting to be the most popular.

Something to be aware of with the ingredient Picloram is that it doesn't bind to soil or break down for several years. So it can translocate through the roots of the target tree and move through soil and ground water and damage non-target vegetation. In this aspect concentrated Glyphosate or Triclopyr are better options.

This was released on Dec 14, 2023. It has been 6 months. This song is my favorite out of all of the other vtech toy friend videos I watched.

I dumped alot of quarters in that game when i was in high school Napoli pizza in quincy,ma .

YO! Okay I did some quick math. It took Joey about 30 seconds to get up to 22,000 points. Divide the 4,666,000 high score by 22,000 and multiply that by .5 minutes and it took whoever tf that was about an hour and 45 minutes to get up to that score (not figuring loading screens and all).

It's a cool game. I'm actually working on putting one together in a converted Williams cabinet and plan on taking it Houston Arcade Expo this October.
